Low-Light Photography

Hello,

I’m sure many photographers share the same thoughts when it comes to low-light photography. The challenge of getting a sharp picture without having to push the ISO too high.

Something really interesting to share. Personally have picked up some tips from there!

My First Portrait Shoot

Howdy!

Have always wanted to shoot portraits of models.

This series is my very first and serious attempt at portrait photography. The theme is fighter, I want to capture the aggression, tension and determination of fighting spirit. I’m still learning about portrait photography and still have a long way to go. If you have any valuable and constructive feedback for me, don’t hesitate to drop a comment or email me. =)

Hope you’ll enjoy the photos!

From a different perspective

Howdy,

Ever dreamt of being a photojournalist? I’ve always thought that being a photojournalist will be amazing, I still think that way and I hope that one day it’ll come true!┬áBeing at the frontline experiencing a totally different environment, uncovering stories and documenting them as a historical record.

Each and every story is worth documenting because they represent a specific time frame in our time capsule. The way to retain them is to have it photographed.

Photography is beautiful because its once true.
Here’s a really nice cover of HAITI.

Cross Processing

Howdy!

It’s been a long while since I update slickflicksphotography! Apologise for that, I’m being bombarded with tons and tons of school work and hardly get a chance to go on a date with my camera.

Luckily New Year is here and i have some free time to spare. So here are some photos from my TLR [Mamiya C220]!

The film that I’ve use was Provia 400x for the color and Ilford 400 Professional for B&W. Both films are of high quality and I hope I’ve done them justice with the photos. Since I’m using Provia 400x, I shall use this opportunity to introduce cross processing to you guys.

Cross processing is known as a technique of developing one type of film in another chemicals. The most commonly used films for such process are know as slides film. Such processing usually gives you “surprise” results, some examples are high contrast, color shift and etc. If you play with Lomography, you’ll be more exposed to idea of cross processing.

Here are some photos from my shoot! Enjoy!

The other side of Holland Village

Howdy!

Ever been to Holland Village?
Holland Village is a small commercial enclave situated in the south of Singapore. During the day time, it is quiet and peaceful. When night falls, it will transform into a vibrant small town with nightly live music from the bars, you will also be able to find sumptuous delicacies from the markets and eateries. To a lot of Singaporeans this is the image of Holland Village.

I want to show the other side of Holland Village, the neighborhood that we seldom see or do not know about Holland Village. Here are some photos from my walk about in Holland village on a Saturday afternoon. Hope you like them!
